IFEN Participates at Munich Satellite Navigation Summit 2014

We will be presenting our GNSS Test- and Evaluation Solutions at two separate booths at Munich Satellite Navigation Summit from 25th to 27th of March 2014.

At booth #2 we will present GATE Berchtesgaden. IFEN GmbH is operator of the Galileo Test- and Development Environment (GATE) since we contributed to its setup in 2006 as project leader. The open air testbed enables us to provide realistically transmitted Galileo Signals already today. As the GATE transmitting stations are located on top of surrounding mountains, we are able to provide reasonable elevation angles. To achieve even higher congruence with the future Galileo navigation signals, the innovative “Virtual Satellite Mode” of GATE Berchtesgaden was developed: It makes it possible to use any “Galileo ready” receiver without modifications. Furthermore, it allows for the emulation of atmospheric errors of satellite signals as they will occur in the real constellation. Of course all of the generated and transmitted signals are fully controllable. So GATE users are not only able to test their Galileo devices already today with “real transmitted” signals. More than that: Also feared events like clock shifts, jitter and (un-)intentional interference can be simulated in the scenic valley of Berchtesgaden.

Booth #7 will exhibit our well renowned Multi-GNSS Simulator NavX-NCS. This in combination with our software based GNSS receiver SX-NSR. This fascinating piece of software – accomplished by a high class receiver frontend – offers you a lot of remarkable possibilities for special applications in satellite navigation. Typical mission objectives are as different fields as receiver development, scientific applications like reflectometry or specific uses like for some reference purposes.

Please be welcome to visit us on both stands. Our experts are looking forward to inform you about the possibilities and benefits that IFEN GNSS Test solutions can contribute to your products or projects.
