Benefits
The SX-NSR is the only software receiver on today’s market that offers advanced signal processing in combination with a powerful quad-band RF-front-end (NavPort). It is designed to deliver unrivalled performance and total flexibility to the scientific part of the GNSS community. It is a multi-GNSS software receiver that is designed as modular to combine superior performance with absolute flexibility. As a result, the SX-NSR is capable to process its frontend’s (IFEN NavPort) datastream in real-time as well as in post-processing.
As it is small, lightweighted and power saving, it is of no degree limited to the usage in a laboratory but can also accompany you at navigation satellite signal tracking, signal evaluation and all other field testing activities outdoors. Due to its unrivalled flexibility, the SX-NSR GNSS software receiver can boost your research in GNSS signal processing, wherever you may be engaged.
The powerful NavX-NSR acquires signals as weak as 19 dBHz and tracks down to 10 dBHz. This makes it your first choice in GPS / GNSS indoor signal tracking and evaluation. As two units can be synchronised with each other, up to 8 RF-frequencies of multi-frequency RF navigation signals can be acquired and processed. For the SX-NSR “full flexibility” means that you can easily adopt your own signal processing algorithms in the software receiver’s framework to evaluate their qualification before integrating them e.g. into a receiver’s hard- and firmware. Our experts in GNSS signal processing are constantly pushing the boundary of software signal processing in the SX-NSR’s development. Take advantage of their expertise and their support for your daily research work!
Applications
The SX-NSR is applicable in a wide field of different GNSS research areas. It is designed as a scientific tool developed by leading scientists to meet their own, highly specific but widespread demands in their own research. A tool made by professionals for professionals.
As this special Navigation Software Receiver is tuned to full flexibility, it is adaptable to an immeasurable number of scientific tasks. Moreover, two NavPort frontend units can be linked with each other, doubling the number of acquirable RF channels. This makes the SX-NSR the one and only GPS / GNSS receiver that is suitable for literally all applications in satellite navigation signal processing.
No doubt in its unlimited range of use, there are of course a number of clearly defined practical applications for the SX-NSR. All of them are in the area of GPS / GNSS science as of the reason that its numerous strengths can best be made use of at the edge of today’s GPS / GNSS signal receiver development. Therefore typical applications of the IFEN SX-NSR are:
- GNSS signal reflectometry
- Multipath signal evaluation
- Interference monitoring
- Weak signal investigation (Indoor-GPS / GNSS) and sensor fusion
- Dual-antenna or dual-heading applications
- GNSS signal monitoring and data logging
- Integration in GNSS reference stations.
